Black and White Banana Bread Donuts

These Banana Bread Donuts are so easy to make. They are soft and fluffy and have the perfect combination of chocolate and vanilla flavors. You can make them with carob or chocolate depending on your dietary needs. They are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, egg free, and nut free. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • In a medium-sized bowl mash your brown bananas with a fork. You want the mash to be slightly chunky, you're not creating a puree. Add to the bowl your coconut sugar, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well with a whisk until completely combined.
  • Pour in your self-rising flour and mix with a spoon or rubber spatula just until combined. Spoon half of the batter into your donut pan filling each donut space up slightly less than halfway.
  • Add 2 tablespoons carob or cocoa powder to your remaining batter and mix until combined. Spoon the remaining batter into your donut molds. Use your fingers or a spoon to make sure you haven't covered the hole in the center.
  • Bake your donuts for about 15 minutes in the center of the oven or until you can insert a toothpick into the donuts and have it come out clean. Let sit for about 5 minutes then enjoy while they are warm.

Notes

Storage: These can be stored at roomt temp for about 3 days. If you plan on keeping them longer you can freeze for about 3 months.
