Preheat oven to 350°F. Get out a 9x9 baking pan and grease with a small amount of dairy free butter. If it's a nonstick pan you don't need to grease it.
In a small mixing bowl mix your ground flax and warm water until completely combined. Let sit for a few minutes until the flax thickens. Whisk together all of your dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a separate medium-sized bowl mix your melted dairy free butter, coconut sugar, and thickened ground flax.
Bake in the center of your oven for about 15 minutes or until firm to the touch. Let cool slightly before slicing into bars.
